Delicious seafood overlooking the harbor in Santa Barbara, my hometown. Surprisingly busting with people at 1:30 in the afternoon on a Friday, the space still had a laid back feel with sea breeze overlooking the ocean.
Voted best clam chowder in SB by the oval newspaper, I’d have to up it and call it one of the best clam chowders I have ever had! Packed full of clams in each bite of thick and flavorful chowder, the delicious sourdough bread at the table was the perfect vehicle to wipe the bowl clean.
Then platters of fried goodness were equally as delicious! Calamari, soft and sweet, and fried clams! Dipping sauces were great, with the perfect amount of tang and flavor. The coleslaw had a light buttermilk poppyseed dressing that could have used more of a kick, but was overall refreshing.
All in all, a nice experience. Restaurant is on the second floor and bar with less than friendly bartenders reside on the first. Afterwards, be sure to take a stroll along the Santa Barbara harbor and take in the beauty of the ocean!
