Our international stop on our Alaskan cruise was Victoria, British Columbia in Canada. Docked in the inner harbor, we had a gorgeous day to see the sights.
Right off the boat, the beautiful Parliament building was there to welcome us in:
From there, we took a short walk to the Fairmont Hotel for high tea. YUM.
Afterwards, we had various options for excursions. Knowing that I only had half a day to see as much of Victoria as possible, I opted for a driving tour through the city.
We went along the coast and saw lighthouses,
and cute seaside neighborhoods.
Too far for the famous Butchart gardens, we drove through the Beacon Hill Gardens instead. But since it was only a drive by on a bus, my pictures were all blurry.
Recently, I had a chance to go to Epcot at Walt Disney World. Canada is represented in their World Showcase and being in that region of the park brought great memories of my day in Victoria.
