Honeycomb Bars

Recipe based on one from Baked: New Frontiers in Baking by Matt Lewis and Renalto Poliafito.  The recipe has a beautiful crust and the gooey filling made of honey, cream, butter and sugar with a shot of brandy at the end.  Into the filling, there are dried cherries and almonds.  The recipe called for candy oranges but I added a 1/2 tsp of orange essence instead and it was delicious!
