The Standard

Most of the time, when I think of cool places to eat and hang out in Los Angeles, I immediately think about places along Melrose or Hollywood Boulevard.  But in Downtown LA, the Standard hotel offers a very hip place to dine and hang out.  I recently had a chance to grab breakfast there with my sister and I was really impressed.

Their restaurant is called 24/7, serving diner type food all day long.  The interior of the restaurant has this cool retro vibe, with bright yellow decor and cool lamps.

The food is pretty delicious.  I had a fried chicken eggs benedict

and we shared the french toast. 🙂

In the lobby is a kiosk for Warby Parker© glasses, keeping with the hipster cool vibe of the place.

The rooftop bar is so pretty in the daytime but packed at night with professionals at happy hour.  The view of downtown is pretty great from here!

IMG_4434  Parking is not so easy, but there are some lots you can park in.  But if you are out this way, you should check the Standard out!
