I recently blogged a post called “Wineries of Sonoma,” highlighting some of my favorite spots for wine in the area. But what about some of the other things around town?
In the middle of town square is city hall –
right in the middle where it all happens! There is plenty of grass to lounge around here for picnics or just basking in the sun. Around the square, you can catch a movie at the Sebastiani Theatre or taste some wine at various outpost from wineries like Ledson.
Get classic Sonoma eats from places like at Mary’s Pizza or Sonoma cheese. Once while at Mary’s Pizza, the wine maker of a glass we had ordered came over and introduced himself to us. We chatted about his wine and he then proceeded to paid for our glasses. So classy and so cool.
Along the square are alleys lined with boutiques from local artists and designers.
There are even historical sights like the mission
and the old barracks of Sonoma
Nearby, you can take a hike up the Sonoma Overlook Trail
The view from the top is incredible!
