This month’s issue of Bon Appetite® featured a recipe for ham and peas hand held pies from San Francisco bakers, Craftsman and Wolves.
I have a pretty busy schedule and the idea of making hand held pies is just one step too many. So instead, I altered the recipe to make tarts instead! I used only whole wheat flower for the crust so that it could stand up on it’s own and added a couple of eggs to make the filling gel. End result? It was fantastic and delicious.
