B patisserie

There was an article today in the San Francisco Chronicle Newpaper about B. Patisserie, the famed pastry shop by Belinda Leong in San Francisco, California.  (http://bpatisserie.com/)  Known for their Kouign Amann, a beautiful pastry with croissant type dough and either a chocolate or vanilla filling, the article was written in response to tomorrow (6/20) being declared as National Kouign Amann Day!

The Kouign Amann at B Patisserie is unparalleled:

Perfectly baked on the outside and the filling oozes out beautifully from the inside with each bite.  It’s no wonder that people make special trips out to this neighborhood in San Francisco to get some.

Needless to say, their croissants are beautiful and delicious too:

Besides these baked confections, there are also a variety pastries to eat either there or to go.

iphone4slastbackup 3806  My favorite is the Meyer Lemon Tart – it is sooo smooth and yummy with just the right amount of tartness.

They also serve sandwiches to eat in or take out as well as 4 Barrel coffee (a San Francisco coffee brand) onsite.  But the best news is that Ms. Leong just opened “B to Go” right across the street with easier access to all these goodies!
