cliff house wedding

Last weekend, I attending a wedding reception at the Cliff house in San Francisco.  The bride and groom wanted us to be there in time for sunset and it was beautiful:

The table tops were beautiful and they served real french bread!

We started with a salad of kale with dates and candied nuts.

img_9616  I loved the dates and candied nuts.  A bit disjointed as a salad – more like the greens on one side and the nuts on the other, but both were tasty in their own right.

For my main dish, I got the roasted duck breast with mashed sweet potatoes and boiled veggies.

Then wedding cake:

Most striking of the evening was the view:

Situated by the Sutro Baths and Lands End in San Francisco, the meal was a great end to a gorgeous day!img_9589img_9583
