My favorite lemony treat to make is Ina Garten’s lemon yogurt cake:
This week, I decided to venture out to other lemony treats as I bake through Williams-Sonoma’s Dessert of the day. Here are the glazed lemon-buttermilk icebox cookies for June 16:
Then the lemon chiffon cake for June 21:
Much more airy than the lemon yogurt cake. It’s got 6 egg whites beat with cream of tartar mixed in after the batter is made. The glaze on top is the same as what is used on the cookies (so no waste) and made for a perfect light snack for a lazy summer afternoon.
I still love Ina’s lemon yogurt cake but these are winners as well. What a way to mix things up with lemon in my kitchen!
