We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so we got a couple of cocktails to get things started for a leisurely evening of gossip and catching up.
This is the Duende Sobrasada:

Fried salt cod with chicories, piquillos and aioli. Yum.

Of all the rice dishes, this is my favorite at Duende – the Arroz Negro:
Bomba rice with lobster aioli and a beautiful collection of seafood – mussels, seafood chorizo, squid ink and shaved fennel. Love the flavors and the textures. I especially love that it only has seafood, so that my pescatarian friends can enjoy it too!
For dessert, our coffee came out in these sweet individual trays:
We shared their plum cake with custard:
But overwhelmingly wonderful is their chocolate flan:
